MCC Serve Day: September 27, 2020
MCC Serves! MCC partners and attendees are participating in a national movement called SERVE. Through SERVE Day, churches around the world identify local community needs, and provide opportunities for volunteers to share the love of God through practical acts of kindness.
MCC SERVE Day will be held on September 27, 2020. Our Serve Team has identified 10 SERVE projects to benefit our Morgantown, Birdsboro, and Coatesville communities and arranged for these projects to take place through SERVE Day. From cleaning up local areas to providing free oil changes to those in need, we have carefully chosen projects so that there is a SERVE project for everyone to choose from, regardless of age, skills, or physical abilities. See the full list of projects at the bottom of this page and sign up!
In addition to the SERVE Projects, we will also be doing a BAGS BY THE BUMPER grocery collection on September 27 as well! We ask that MCC attendees bring bags of non-perishable groceries with them to Sunday service (either morning service at MCC Elverson campus or the evening service at MCC Birdsboro), and place the bags behind your vehicle in the parking lot when you come in for the service. Volunteers will collect all of the bags, which will be distributed to needy families in our communities!
How to Participate in SERVE Day
First, choose the project that you are most called to volunteer for from the list of projects below. Click the button to Sign Up, and complete the form. You will receive an email confirming your project sign-up. Then, on Sunday, September 27th, volunteers will gather immediately following the morning services (Wave 1 will gather following the 9:00am service, and Wave 2 will gather following the 11:00am service). You will enjoy a light lunch, receive your free SERVE Day T-shirt, and then head out to the area where your project will be serving.
We invite and encourage everyone to join alongside of us as we SERVE our communities and show them the light of Jesus Christ! For any questions, please email Erika Kanter at firstname.lastname@example.org.
